CTI was established in 1980 to service the growing need for quality carbide products for the cutting tool industry. Mr. Theodore N. Souris, the company's founder, applied more than twenty years of carbide industry experience to the management and growth of this company. Starting as a supplier of round, rectangular, and tubing blanks, CTI rapidly developed it's own powder manufacturing facility and expanded into special preformed tool blanks. After outgrowing its original site, in 1985, our current 70,000 sq. ft. facility was built.

Today CTI continues to serve the market place as a highly specialized manufacturer of submicron and micrograin cutting tool blanks and wear parts. We continue to update our manufacturing processes and our metallurgical capabilities so that our customer's future needs will be met. Reliable delivery of high quality products has led our customers to an advantage in an increasing competitive market
